A bit of light damage? Balthasar's Aura (pre nerf), symbol of wrath, were pretty big dmg dealers back in the days.
On a side note, we didn't have AoE scatter back then and smite was used by monks to do crazy damage, not to support.

That's cool and thank you Izzy, as long as he doesn't neglect the other role smite 'can' play in PvE.

Smite does the light damage it is supposed to do just fine...an attribute is never supposed to be SUPER AMAZING at everything it does. If you want to do damage, go play a damage dealing class or play in Undead heavy areas. If every class had an attribute that could do everything perfectly, every class would become homogenized, and that my friends, is what we call Ursan Blessing.

The problem here is you think smiting is meant to do big damage. It's not. As DarkNecrid said it's meant to do light damage (big damage vs undead), and it does that perfectly.

Healing Signet should be made to target any ally and buffed, so that Warriors have better support. It is only fair because Guild Wars is a game clearly designed around single-character-capability balance.
Seriously. This is serious.

You're suggesting healing signet should be changed into something it's not supposed to be?! I agree with this amazing suggestion.
Sarcasm, for those who didn't catch it.

1) UD areas make out a small part of the entire game. Just wanne make the line viable in most parts of the game.
2) Buffing some skills a bit and making some skills and elites actually playable suddenly makes it like Ursan Blessing or godly mode and it would homogenize the game?
Ok If I asked for 500 dmg dealing spikes, but I'm not. Just a little bit more smiting love. I know it's effective, but it would be nice to give it a little buff for the fun of it in pve.

They are playable for what they do. Stop trying to have your cake and eat it too.

It's allready perfectly playable in the whole game. If you think it isn't, I can't stop you but the only thing stopping you from being effective is yourself.

We're getting a little aggrevated here it seems. I made my point, you made yours, now lets move on.

Sceptical audience here. Shouldn't have gotten into the UD thing and the playability in the whole game, my mistake.
Ofcourse it's playable, that doesn't mean one can't try to get more out of it.

But it is viable in all parts of the game. I'm guessing you play with bad, one minded pugs. Find a guild that's good at the game, and understand player skill > player build.

I'd also like to see some sort of Smiting boon in PvE. Allowing Divine Favor to give the line a slight boost would be most appreciated.

Smiter's Boon is already a powerful skill. ~80 heals for 5 energy along with hex removal, condition removal or damage mitigation is good. Oh, and all do damage.
Smiting is a seriously good support line. It's viable as a spam your head off PvE build with it's Signets too if you really want that. There isn't anything wrong with it as far as I'm concerned.

[Smiter's boon] + [divine boon] = 45+45+57 = 147 point heals for 7 energy on 1/4 second cast time. As a bonus, they also mitigate a bit of damage, and shunt a little bit back.
If that wasn't good enough, [castigation signet] combined with [boon signet] or [defender's zeal] amounts to near infinite energy.

My little old smiter MoMe is cool - because of all the campaigns and Eotn. Leave her alone for PvE thanks.
